I think that multimedia projectors are such a great tool to use in the classroom. I think that projectors are especially useful in college classrooms when naturally the classroom sizes tend to be far larger than that of a typical highscool or middleschool classroom. I know that this really helps in lecture halls because even while sitting in the back, I can clearly see videos, powerpoint presentations, etc. This is more effective than the use of a whiteboard and traditional chalkboard in my opinion. You can essentially customize presentations any way you'd like and a projector allows you to display and share your creation. Multimedia presentations combine text, audio, graphics, etc. and allow for a more exciting, engaging lesson plan. Projectors allow teachers to share organized notes and even saves them time. Instead of having to spend time writing out notes on the board, or struggling to find space, a projector helps share notes with a simple click of button. I will definitely be using a projector with my future students!
